MEET JANICE
JANICE STAMPS—PT, CCAT
President and Owner
Jan is president and owner of Rehab for Life and Canine Aquatic Center. She graduated from the University of Michigan and has over 37 years of experience in physical therapy. Jan has completed advanced training with certification in canine aquatic therapy. She specializes in geriatrics, headache and TMJ management, MS, movement disorders, spinal dysfunction, pediatrics, cardio-pulmonary PT, manual therapy, and orthopedics/sports medicine. Jan currently is a canine aquatic therapy consultant and instructor, serves as a student therapy project consultant to the University of Evansville Mechanical Engineering Department, past instructor to the University of Evansville DPT program, past instructor and consultant to the University of New Mexico Physical and Occupational Therapy Programs and the UNM School of Medicine. She previously served as a hospital administrator at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico after tenure as Director of Rehab Services. She was a top level southwestern regional Medicare/BCBS consultant for SNF therapy services. Jan has given many lectures and workshops in the areas of MS, fall prevention and balance optimization, cancer and caregiver topics, cardiopulmonary therapy interventions/techniques, and documentation guidelines/therapy care plans. Jan has multiple journal publications and holds a patent for an aquatic wheelchair design. She is the 1998 recipient of Evansville’s Woman of the Year Award, is a Paul Harris Rotarian Fellow, and a member of the APTA since 1979.
